The Bowery is the embodiment of regeneration. The area in New York the bar takes it name from was once the haunt of vagrants and gangs; in turn we have taken a useless piece of land and made a refuge.

Two Sheffield thoroughbreds, in conjunction with a lone Wirralonian, hatched a plan to open their ideal bar, a notion that has led us to this, The Bowery. Combining our love of music, art, food and drink, The Bowery is a café, a bar, a venue and a hang-out for the people of Sheffield. We are the people of Sheffield so we like to think we know what's good for it...

Fed up of people complaining about what Sheffield does not offer in comparison to other neighboring cities, we set out on a journey to provide Sheffield with the things that it needs. The Bowery is just the start.
